VIPs Tour Grays Harbor on Lady Washington

More than thirty VIPs representing cities and agencies working to bring new development to Grays Harbor sailed from Westport to Aberdeen today aboard Lady Washington. The event, titled "Voyage Grays Harbor," showed the possibilities new waterfront access and amenities could mean for local jobs and growth, and it showcased Grays Harbor port facilities and Seaport Landing, the Historical Seaport's planned home port facility in south Aberdeen. The group sailed from Westport to Cosmopolis before tying up at Aberdeen Landing.

The top photo shows the group just before Lady Washington sailed from Westport Marina. The guests included Aberdeen Mayor Bill Simpson, Westport Mayor Michael Bruce, Ocean Shores Mayor Crystal Dingler, Tim Gibbs, executive director of the Grays Harbor Economic Development Council, and many more elected officials, public agency leaders, and local business leaders with ties to the waterfront.
