Lady Washington Planking Project Finishes
Capt. JB Morrison took Lady Washington out today for the first time since we completed Phase I of the boat's starboard side re-planking last week. The photos above show the Lady Washington at work near the mouth of the Chehalis River for a film charter. The rigging crew worked literally from dawn to dusk for three days to get the boat ready for the shoot. Huge thanks again to JB, Capt. Jake Jacobson, Scotty Kimmit, Lady Washington's crew, many shoreside volunteers, and the state Legislature, which funded the planking project. Phase II of the project begins in Port Townsend next month, when we haul out the boat and take a look at her planks beneath the waterline.
